Time for a little progressive rock curtesy of Peter Hammil and the gang

First a link to Van Der Graaf Generator’s Wiki page

and though I can’t be certain, this look suspiciously like their home page

Lots of songs to choose from, it’s going to be difficult to keep it to just the four.

Lets start with a track from their album H to He Who Am The Only One the track is called Killer

My second choice, is called Lizard Play. It’s on the Album The Quiet Zone and is available on the combined The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure Dome CD

People You Were Going To as can be seen from the following video, is on the album The Aerosol Grey Machine. Make sure you get the copy with the bonus tracks, otherwise this track will be missing.

Now for Track 4, this is the hard part, there are still at least half a dozen songs I’d like to add.

I think I’m going to settle for White Hammer. The song is about the Malleus Maleficarum which if you weren’t aware was a kind of guide book used by the papal inquisitors to recognise witches. Strangely enough it was also used as a guide by witches on how to become witches. At least one copy of the Maleficarum still exists from 1520 and I heard somewhere that it is the oldest surviving book. I don’t know how true that is though.

So here it is, White Hammer from the album The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other.

I hope you enjoyed the music.
