The first book of my fantsy trilogy is all but ready to publish.

All I need is the cover art and I’m ready to go.

It should be hitting the Kindle store any day soon.

Ideally all three parts should be available before christmas.

Took me most of the week to get to this

It’s about 4500 words.

It was going to be longer, but I felt the story was better if I cut the last 300 words out.

The plot of this movie is very good, even bordering on excellent. However, the way the story was told could be a lot better and many of the lines felt very stilted. Some of the language felt far too modren for the period in which it was set.

I like the gadgets, I felt they were far better used than in that recent monstrosity of the Three musketeers. Since Hansel and Gretel are the only ones with such gadgets, I’d guess that witch hunting pays well.

I also felt it was a little silly in places.

Four other with hunters venture into the deep evil forest at night to hunt down the witches. Next, we see them camped round a fire – Why? I can understand they might want to have dinner, but then why did the leave the village before eating? I know the local sherriff told them to leave that night, but he didn’t say they couldn’t eat first. Alternately they could stop and have dinner when they get back to the village. In the end it felt like it was purely a set up to show us how dangerous the big bad witch really was.

How did little Hansel and Gretel defeat a witch when they were children when they were having so much trouble beating them once grown up.

Interesting use of the law of ninja in the big shoot-em-up at the end.

Once again we see the old cliche of a dying person being comforted and yet still able to talk just before she dies.

Predictability – High. It was a good story, but it was quite predictable.

However, it was entertaining, there was plenty of action and though it did suffer from shakey cam it wasn’t over done. Maybe the people at Hollywood re beginning to realise that when people go to see a movie, they want to see a movie.
