3D, did I say 3D? Well I suppose there were aspects that felt 3Dish. Maybe I’m just getting used to the look of 3D
A well made movie with some very familiar actors. I haven’t seen Sylvestor Mccoy in a role since he played the doctor, yet his mannerisms made him unmistakable. Barry Humphries as the goblin king, he must be knocking on a bit now.
Some nice scenery as always and some very well CGI’d eagles. The thing with CGI, is it’s usually either done well or it’s done badly and when it’s done badly it’s obvious and can shunt you out of the movie. The CGI in the Hobbit was done well.
In summery, it’s a good movie. Stop wasting your time reading movie reviews and go see it.
If I have any misgivings at all, its that they seem to have divided the story into 3 movies, but when each of those movies is close on three hours long, I don’t think we’re being short changed.
