It’s going to be a long chapter as it still needs to be checked.

I decided that instead of jumping four months ahead and filling in the details in retrospect, I would instead divide the events into a number of small happenings. 

So the hero and his girflriend having gotten married in chapter 113, spend their wedding night togther (no it’s not sordid)

Next the hero goes to help on of the trainers

Next the hero has a birthday.

Next the girlfriend has her birthday. By the measure of her people, she is now come of age and is supposed to go on a Rite of Passage, the hero stops her. It too dangerous right now and she has nothing to prove.

Next, The girlfriend has her baby.

And finally the Hero is invited to a council of war (this marks the end of the fourth (or so) month

Once again as 3D movies go, it felt very flat. There were a few scenes that were clearly made to be 3D, but as is the case with most movies, they were the CGI’d bits. Other than that, if I paid special attention I could see that they had made it 3D, but clearly most of it wasn’t filmed that way.  – I don’t knock marks off for bad 3D. I do though feel there should be a third classification, a 2D movie, a movie filmed in 3D and a movie converted to 3D. Why should I pay 3D prices to watch a 2D movie?

So what did I think?

Overall the movie was entertaining. It was standard Hollywood fare, there were a fair number of cliches, but to be honest it was better than I was expecting. I think my main problem was having seen Immortals sometime last year jaded me a little towards the idea of movies based around greek myths. I had to keep telling myself that it had nothing to do with them, it was a sequel to Clash of the Titans which though nothing special, was a lot better than Immortals.

What didn;t I like?

The cliches.

The fact that Perseus seemed to take forever to reach Cronos after appearing on the screen with him

I was also surprised at how much power Cronos seemed to have since he stole it from Zeus and Zeus had supposedly had very little.

There was also the Queen’s hairdo, didn’t that remain immaculate even in the heat of a fierce battle.

These are all fairly minor grievances though. I enjoyed the movie and will probably consider adding it to my collection when it comes out on DVD.

This is a wind down chapter for the first half of the book. It’s the chapter where the hero and his girlfriend get married. Most of the chapter involves the hero being led to the altar by the King, They chat about the food situation and a recent assasination that has taken place somewhere.

The hero doesn’t actually get married in the chapter, that’s left to the imagination. I’ve already written one marriage scene (Book one) the ceremony would be the same and it feels like a waste of ink to repeat it.

Suffice to say, when the next chapter opens, four months have passed, we can assume the hero and his girlfriend are married.

This chapter, when I finishe the check tomorrow, will be the last chapter of the first half of the third book. Yay!

There is a planned four month gap between this chapter and the next one. But then I enter the endgame of the story.
